Powerhead Rebuild Kit
We offer two kit options for this application.
A "Short Kit" which includes: Piston Kits (piston, Riken Rings, wrist pin & Clips), Complete Powerhead Gasket Kit with Crank Seals and Rod bolts.
A "Complete Kit" which includes everything in the short kit, plus contains all powerhead bearings (except center mains (press together crank))!
The pistons in this kit are available in STD, .010", .020", .030" and .040" oversize. To order your kit, select your desired options, then click "add to cart". If your cylinders require different size pistons, you will need to give us a call to place the order
For the crank main bearings, this kit includes the upper and lower main bearings only. The crankshaft of these engines is pressed together, and the center main bearings are not serviceable. If your center main bearings are bad, we sell a new crankshaft for this application also.

The 1984-88 engines had 3-ring pistons which are no longer available. These newer style 2-ring pistons are used as a direct replacement with the advantage of less drag due to one less ring.
